ITC-Expert Experimental Design and Simulation Software

Available FREE to all users of VP-ITC with Origin 7.0!

The new ITC-Expert software enables a user to simulate experimental binding isotherms based upon assumptions or known experimental parameters.  As one alters the parameters, the predicted results are quickly displayed in a graphical format.  The parameters that can be entered and varied include:

  • K (can be entered as Ka or Kd)
  • Concentration (syringe and cell)
  • N (stoichiometry)
  • ΔH (enthalpy)
  • Injection volume
  • Number of injections
  • C value (sigmoidicity)
  • One- or two-site model

Based upon input of an estimated binding constant and ΔH, the user can quickly determine the run conditions and the concentration to produce an optimal binding isotherm. However, in addition to predicting optimal run conditions, ITC-Expert also provides minimum and maximum concentrations, enabling a user to avoid runs that will be unsuccessful. Once the user has determined the desired experimental conditions, the variables can be exported to an ITC run file (*INJ) and subsequently imported into VPViewer™ to run the designed experiment.
